1. When do we have to be available for the taping of the show?
If selected, you will be in Los Angeles from July 20th to September 15th with the LIVE finale one week between mid November and early December
2. What if we have schedule conflicts during the tape dates?
Don't be discouraged, contact the casting offices immediately so we can work it out.
3. Do we get compensation while on the show?
YES. Each individual in the group will receive a weekly stipend and per diem during your participation on the show in Los Angeles.
4. Do we have to pay for travel to auditions?
YES. You must get yourself to and from the open call auditions. If you are selected to be on the show, we will pay for round trip flights and hotel during your stay.
5. How many members in a group?
4-15 members.
6. Do all members have to attend the open call audition?
It is always best to have your entire group at the audition, but contact the casting offices if you have conflicts.
7. Can our group have current members and alumni?
OF COURSE! We welcome any combination of singers...show us what you got!
8. Do you provide microphones at the auditions?
YES.
9. How many songs should we prepare?
Come with 2 performances you KNOW your group will kill! One must be a recognizable pop/rock cover song and medleys are allowed.
10. Can we perform with instruments?
NO. This is an a cappella show!
11. Do we need to have choreography with our performance?
If your group doesn't usually do choreography do not worry about having it at your audition...DO YOU!
12. How long will we be at the audition?
We try to get everyone seen in a timely manner but it could be a long day, come with plenty of snacks and water.
13. What should we expect when we get to auditions?
Your group will check-in at our registration desk and submit individual completed and signed applications. You will be escorted into the audition space and perform. You may or may not be asked to stay for a casting interview.
14. I can't download the application?
Application will be available for download shortly please keep checking back.
Dress according to your groups personality and style. Remember, this is an audition dress like you are playing a gig - not at a rehearsal.
16. If we can't attend an audition city, can we still submit a video?
YES. It is always better to see your group at a live audition BUT if you are unable to attend, you can submit a video link on our video submission page (Click here).
17. I am under the age of 18, can I still audition?
YES. Auditions are open to 12 yr olds and up. If you are a minor, you CAN NOT audition without BOTH parent signatures on the application (download here)
